Disposable People by Kevin Bales is a book about modern day slavery. In it Kevin shares about slavery around the world in places like: Brazil, Thailand, Mauritania, Pakistan, and India. He gives a lot of detail about what this new slavery looks like and how people get trapped in it. This book helped continue to educate me regarding modern day slavery. It wasn't easy to read about the lives of those in slavery, but it does continue to remind you that this is a reality for many people in our world today. This book will motivate you to be part of the solution.
